One of a Kind Australian Luxury Menswear boutique in Darlinghurst will be officially opened on Friday 12th March 2010.

Local labels include: Three Over One, Rittenhouse, Pistols at Dawn, Vanishing Elephant and Claude Maus. International labels stocked include: Whilst Swedish label Whyred, Superfine denim and footwear from Generic Surplus and Grenson.

Originating in Brisbane in 2007, The Cloakroom is a venture of business partners Josh McPherson and Andrew Byrne. McPherson opened the Sydney store in September 2009.

The Cloakroom offers in flexible made-to-measure specialist tailoring that includes Italian or English wool,or linens for suiting, in a slim cut house style, finished with Buffalo horn buttons.

Also available is a range of jeans produced in Melbourne, with denim sourced from Italy and USA, light Merino wool t-shirts and a selection of Grenson shoes and boots. A new line of cashmere/merino wool hooded jumpers is also in development.

The Y-3 Autumn/Winter 2010-11 collection was presented at the Park Avenue Armory on 14th February 2010. This season's collection was developed with 2 opposite aesthetic ideals in mind: Tradition vs. Future - classic shapes inspired by bespoke English tailoring in futuristic materials, or classic materials in futuristic shapes. The show was presented as an ode to masked superheroes like Zorro and the Scarlet Pimpernel.

Tuesday 1st December 2009 was the date to celebrate the launch of Sonia Rykiel for H&M.

The party was held at the Grand Palais in Paris. The Grand Palais was transformed into a Parisian fantasy land for 2000 guests including Kate Beckinsale, Eva, Nadja, Jean Paul Gaultier, Eva Herzigova and Nadja Auermann, Ellen von Unwerth and Emmanuelle Béart.

Guests walked through an enchanted forest, arriving at a recreation of Saint Germain. Guests were seated under a specially made Eiffel Tower to preview the Sonia Rykiel pour H&M lingerie collection (available in stores globally from Saturday 5th December 2009) and the knitwear collection for women and girls (available from Sunday 20th February 2010).

The collection was presented on floats emerging from a recreation of the Arc de Triomphe with a Parisian funfair as backdrop.

Charlotte Smith inherited the priceless Darnell vintage couture collection from her American Quaker godmother, Doris Darnell. The collection is over 3000 pieces dating from 1790 to 1995, from Dior and Chanel originals to a dainty pioneer dress.

Dreaming of Dior: Every Dress Tells a Story (Publisher Harper Collins RRP AUD35.00), is Charlotte Smith's opportunity to share her love of the Darnell collection by recounting her own memories of her Godmother to recounting the moments of treasured life that the dresses themselves represented to their owners.
